Stage 1: The Conversation Before the Contract
What actually happens before we touch your funnel? Not a sales pitch — a conversation. Here’s exactly what Stage 1 of working with CRV looks like, and the one question that shapes everything after it.
Most funnel work starts backwards — someone hands over login access and a vendor starts making changes before they even understand what “working” means for that specific business. We do the opposite.
Stage 1 is a Discovery Interview, not a sales pitch. The entire goal is getting a clear, honest picture of what you actually want from your funnel: where your leads are coming from right now, where they’re dropping off, and — this part gets skipped constantly — what success actually looks like in your business, not in a generic case study.
From there, we walk you through the rough shape of what a funnel audit or build typically includes, so there are no surprises later. But that template is a starting point, not the final answer. Nothing about your business, your market, or your goals is identical to the last client we worked with, so everything gets tailored before any real work begins.
The One Question That Shapes Everything
We close every discovery call with the same question:
“In three months, what would success look like for you?”
That answer becomes the north star for the entire engagement. It’s not a formality — it’s the thing we build toward and the thing we measure against at every stage that follows. Skip this question, and you’re optimizing toward a guess. Ask it properly, and every later decision has something real to point back to.
What You Walk Away With
By the end of Stage 1, you get a documented SOP of your own funnel — a clear, written map of how your funnel currently works, in plain language. Most business owners have never actually seen this laid out before. It becomes the baseline everything else gets measured against, and it’s yours to keep even if you never move to Stage 2.
Once we know what success looks like for you — and you have that SOP in hand — Stage 2 is where we go find out what’s actually happening inside that funnel right now.
